INFO SERVICE
SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN EXERCISING THEIR RIGHTS.
COLLECTIVELY DEFENDING RIGHTS.
Alter Justice offers an information service for anyone seeking information about the Quebec correctional system, criminal records, their impact, and recourse in cases of discrimination or pardon applications.
We explain the laws and regulations relating to life in Quebec prisons and provide information based on our expertise. Information is available on rights and obligations on various topics, such as parole, temporary absences, transfers, security and disciplinary measures, etc.
Criminal records have many impacts, including on employment, insurance, cross-border travel, and housing. Alter Justice can provide the information on the effects of criminal records, possible remedies in cases of discrimination, and how to apply for a criminal record suspension.
Our team is here to listen, answer questions, offer advice, and find appropriate resources, free of charge and in complete confidentiality.
