By contacting Alter Justice to request information, support or assistance, regardless of the program, individuals agree to abide by the rules and understand the issues mentioned below:

  • We do not provide legal advice or counsel, as no lawyers work at Alter Justice.
  • We believe in personal autonomy. We do not take action on behalf of our program users. Our mission is to accompany and support; we are not here to “do things for you.”
  • It is important to note that no refusal or complication of an application can be attributed to the Alter Justice Group or its representatives.
  • All documentation is the responsibility of the person being supported, including, but not limited to, validity periods, unless otherwise agreed in writing with their caseworker.
  • Since we cannot predict everyone’s needs, please inform us of any situation that may require special attention.
  • In addition, it is also necessary to provide us with any relevant and appropriate information.
  • Lying or failing to disclose certain information could lead to a result other than expected.
  • All data collected is used to maintain user records and compile statistics.

We are a violence-, intimidation- and threat-free environment, regardless of their nature.

Violating this positive environment may result in expulsion from the programs without notice.

Our information, support and guidance programs can be summarized as follows:

  • Support in regards of your criminal records;
  • Support regarding imprisonment;
  • Information about your criminal records;
  • Information about prison;

At this time, we do not offer a psychosocial support program. If you have any requests in this regard, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us so we can redirect you to the appropriate services.

Our support does not guarantee that a request or procedure will be accepted.

Alter Justice is a very small team; communication delays of several weeks or even months may occur for any new requests.

Any insistence on our team may be considered criminal harassment. Please respect the processing times for requests.

We respond to requests on a first-come, first-served basis and in order of importance. We are the sole judges of the urgency or importance of a request.

By using Alter Justice’s programs, you agree to the above terms and conditions and undertake to comply with them.

 

Consequences of non-compliance


Anyone who does not comply with the service agreement’s principles may be denied support or assistance without notice. Alter Justice is a violence- and harassment-free environment, including, but not limited to, psychological and sexual forms of violence and harassment.
