Want to get involved in the organization’s work and mission? Give your time by volunteering for Alter Justice.

 

Depending on your interests and availability, you can take on a variety of tasks, such as:

 

  • Writing articles for the AJ newsletter and website.
  • Proofreading and editing documents.
  • Sitting on our board of directors.
  • Doing research.
  • Supporting the team in its awareness and social mobilization activities.
  • Sitting on the Artis Judiciali committee, an annual arts event.
  • Supporting the AJ team (data entry, mailing, assessing court records, etc.).

We know that balancing work, family, your studies and volunteering can be difficult. Alter Justice can adapt your involvement to your availability.

Your involvement can therefore be a one-off effort or an ongoing one, depending on the tasks you take on.  Many tasks can also be carried out remotely from home.

INTERNSHIP

Alter Justice welcomes interns from Quebec CEGEPs and universities in almost all intervention programs. With a primary focus on criminology, the special nature of our work has given us a key insight into the realities of the criminal justice system, the prison environment and social (re)habilitation.
